A command surface for agentic development.
ProjectDesk started as a signed Windows desktop app — local repos, local SQLite, a native installer. That desktop product proved the concept and then earned its retirement: Cloud is the live surface now. Postgres-backed, MCP-connected, open for inspection. The work is real, the queues are live, and the desk is the same one used every day to build everything else.
The Windows installer was the proof-of-concept. It worked — well enough to retire. Cloud is not a pivot; it is the graduation.

Claude Code connects through the hosted MCP connector and reads the desk the same way Justin does — same contract, same queues, same proof.
A pretty desk is useless if stale returns, orphaned attention, or split-brain stores can lie about what needs to happen next.
The desk separates what an agent can do unattended from what Justin must decide, walk, approve, or validate. The line is enforced, not trusted.
The hosted MCP connector is stateless — no per-session state on Azure. Every request is self-contained. That constraint forced a cleaner architecture.
ProjectDesk is shaped inside the same daily work loop it supports: capture the mess, route it, run it, verify it, and clean the desk.
ProjectDesk proves Atlier as a practical product surface: agentic project tracking, queue discipline, MCP-shaped command boundaries, and a live public desk that shows the real work in real time.
